VI Madrid Lindy Exchange . Tapas tour and sightseeing, 24th of May 11:30AM Puerta del Sol.
On Friday morning, May 24th, we will go on the classic walking tour to Madrid, together with some clandestinos and two stops in traditional pubs to have tapas and drinks. During the visit, we’ll also stop at some representative and interesting places to dance.
The activity is totally free for people with the full pass and has a capacity limited to 30 people, so if you want to participate, you have to fill out the registration form.
The theme behind the tour is Clandestinos with history. We’ll visit places where the association has had its eye on to perform social dances in Madrid downtown. Places that stand out for their acoustics, their floor and their space. However, we not only want to dance, the goal is to define in each place its history, curiosities and its present, offering the dancers a more enjoyable knowledge of the history of the city. All this thanks to our sound backpack that has been accompanying us for several years in our visits to Madrid.
The activity will start at 11:30 am from the Puerta del Sol in Madrid. We’ll start on time and the meeting point will be the shaded area of the statue of Carlos III. Search for volunteers for MAD for Swing, they’ll wear t-shirts to allow you to identify them quickly.
At 2:00 pm we’ll finish the route at El Casino de la Reina, Lavapiés, and we’ll go to eat at a nearby pub where we have booked space for the 30 people on the route and we’ve also ordered a tapas tasting.
Remember! The cost of tapas and lunch is not included in the Madrid Lindy Exchange pass and each person will have to pay their share.
