Tamara Lobato es DJ (selector), bailarina y profesora internacional, pero, sobre todo, una invitada y eterna estudiante del jazz.
Sus sets están cuidadosamente diseñados para evocar el groove y la autenticidad de los ritmos del African American Vernacular Jazz, especialmente de los años veinte y cuarenta. Su trabajo se centra en explorar estos ritmos, con una especial debilidad por el Boogie-Woogie y el Rhythm & Blues.
Ha participado en diversos festivales nacionales e internacionales, con el objetivo de hacer que el público no solo baile, sino que también conecte con la riqueza cultural e histórica de esta música.
Tamara Lobato is an international DJ, dancer and teacher, but sees herself as an eternal guest student in the world of jazz.
Her sets are carefully designed to craft the authentic groove of Afro-American Vernacular Jazz, especially from the Twenties and Forties. She explores all its rhythms, while confessing to a special weakness for Boogie-Woogie and Rhythm & Blues.
Several of us have been lucky enough to enjoy her overflow of energy at several Spanish and international festivals, where she not only keeps her listeners dancing, but also helps us connect to the cultural and historical roots of this music. Saturday night promises to be a great night!
