La Banda del Ángel Caído
La Banda del Ángel Caído, surge como un grupo de músicos que desde el verano de 2017 se reúnen en la emblemática plaza del parque del Retiro que les da nombre para disfrutar tocando juntos estándares de swing para bailarines y paseantes. De ahí dieron el salto a los escenarios de Madrid, tocando también en eventos privados.
Es una formación base compuesta por batería, dos guitarras, contrabajo y saxofón, aunque incorporando en ocasiones un segundo viento; hacen versiones de temas de Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Sonny Rollins y otros grandes compositores, mezclando clásicos de la época dorada del swing con otros más modernos.
Tocarán para los bailarines de Madrid Swing Exchange en una de las sesiones abiertas, de calle.

La Banda del Ángel Caído is a group of musicians who got together in the Retiro Park in Madrid for the fun of playing swing for dancers and passers-by. They mainly played in the plaza with a statue of the Fallen Angel and the name seemed appropriate… so they appropriated it. Even when their reputation extended out to venues all over Madrid.¡
Their basic formation is drums, two guitars, double bass and saxophone, although they sometimes bring in a second wind instrument, to version greats from Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Sonny Rollings and other much loved composers, mixing classics from the Golden Age of Swing with other more modern arrangements.
They will be playing for the Madrid Swing Exchange in one of the free open-air events, where these musicians and us dancers will enjoy the street sound that is their speciality.
