¡Aún nos quedan sorpresas! Esta noche, dentro de muy poquitas horas, empieza el IV Madrid Lindy Exchange, la gran cita anual del swing en la capital, pero aún tenemos novedades que contaros respecto a las actividades al aire libre.
Hemos tardado un poquito en anunciarlo, pero aquí está: mañana, sábado, comenzaremos la segunda jornada del IV Madrid Lindy Exchange con baile social en las inmediaciones del Templo de Debod, un monumento milenario traído desde Egipto e instalado en el Parque del Oeste, junto al Paseo de Pintor Rosales (metro más cercano, Plaza de España).
Empezamos a las 12:00 horas con una clase abierta de jazz steps. A partir de las 12:30 y hasta las 14:00 podéis probar vuestros nuevos movimientos con la música en directo de Exchange Street Band.

El sol aprieta en Madrid estos días y continúa la ola de calor con alertas por altas temperaturas, así que os recomendamos que busquéis lugares en sombra, bebáis mucha agua y llevéis ropa ligera y protector solar. Por favor, sed prudentes y al mínimo malestar pedid ayuda o contactad con algún miembro de la organización.
El consejo vale también para el baile social del domingo en el Paseo del Prado, junto a la Fuente de Apolo (a medio camino entre las plazas de Cibeles y Neptuno y muy cerquita del metro Banco de España). Tras una clase de charleston (de 12:00 a 12:30 horas), bailaremos de 12:30 a 15:00 horas con Madrid Lindy Exchange Band.
Y por la tarde hemos retrasado un poco el inicio del baile social en la Puerta del Sol. La actividad, organizada por MAD for Swing dentro de la iniciativa “A.kampArte» de Guerrila Sound System, comienza a las 20:00 horas en lugar de a las 18:00 horas.
Para combatir el calor entre medias, nada mejor que una ruta de tapas por alguno de los barrios emblemáticos de Madrid: Huertas (metros Sol y Antón Martín), Lavapies (Metros Lavapiés y Tirso de Molina), la zona del Rastro y el Madrid de los Austrias (Metro La Latina), Malasaña (Metro Tribunal) o Chueca (Metro Chueca). También podéis disfrutar de la animada agenda cultural de la ciudad.
Otra opción refrescante es disfrutar de alguno de los parques de Madrid, desde el clásico Retiro (Metro Retiro) a la popular Playa de Madrid en Madrid Río (metros Pirámides, Acacias y Legazpi) o de alguna de las piscinas públicas de la ciudad: aquí tenéis un listado de las municipales, información para llegar a la de la Universidad Complutense y una interesante recopilación de gimnasios y centros deportivos con piscina.

We still have surprises! This evening, within a few hours begins the IV Madrid Lindy Exchange, the great annual swing event in the capital. But we still have news to tell you.
It has taken us a little while to announce it, but here it is: tomorrow, Saturday, we will begin the second day of the IV Madrid Lindy Exchange in the vicinity of the Temple of Debod, an ancient monument brought from Egypt and re-built in Parque del Oeste, close to Paseo del Pintor Rosales (Metro Station: Plaza de España)
We will start at 12:00 with an open class of jazz steps. From 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. you can try out your new moves with live music by the Exchange Street Band.

The sun is hot in Madrid these days and the heat wave continues with alerts for high temperatures, so we recommend you look for places in shade, drink lots of water and wear light clothing and sunscreen. Please be cautious and at the least discomfort ask for help or contact a member of the organization.
The advice is also valid for the Sunday social dance on Paseo del Prado. We will be next to the Apollo Fountain (halfway between Cibeles and Neptuno and very close to Banco de España Metro Station). After a Charleston class (from 12:00 to 12:30), the dance will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with Madrid Lindy Exchange Band.
Also the activity, organized by MAD for Swing within the initiative «A.kampArte» of Guerrila Sound System, starts at 8:00 pm (instead 6:00 p.m).
To beat the heat in between, there is nothing better than a tapas route through one of Madrid’s emblematic neighborhoods: Huertas (Sol and Anton Martín Metro Station), Lavapiés (Lavapiés and Tirso de Molina Metro Stations), the Rastro area and Madrid of the Habsburgs (La Latina Metro Station), Malasaña (Tribunal Metro Station) or Chueca (Chueca Station). You can also enjoy the lively cultural agenda of the city.
Another refreshing option is to enjoy one of the Madrid parks, from the classic Retiro Park (Retiro Metro Station) to the popular Madrid beach in Madrid Río (Pyramids, Acacias and Legazpi Metro Stations) or the public swimming pools of the city: here you have a list of the public ones, information to get to the pool in the Universidad Complutense and an interesting collection of gyms and sports centers with swimming pool.
