Falta menos de un mes para el IV Madrid Lindy Exchange, el evento que unirá en Madrid a cientos de bailarines desde el viernes 16 de junio al domingo 18 de junio. Y por fin llega lo que muchos nos estáis pidiendo: ¡el programa detallado del evento! Aquí tenéis las horas, los sitios y las actividades en las que participarán hoppers de toda España y de una quincena de países (Estados Unidos, Australia, Reino Unido, Croacia, Hungría, Irlanda, Italia, Francia…).

Desde MAD for Swing queremos involucrar no sólo a los bailarines que han adquirido el Full Pass o el Party Pass para el sábado (para quienes tenemos preparadas un montón de actividades) sino a toda la comunidad swing de Madrid. Tenemos dos espacios fantásticos para nuestras fiestas, el Círculo de Bellas Artes y Cha3, pero como nos encanta acercar nuestra pasión por el lindy hop a los madrileños, dedicaremos las mañanas del sábado y el domingo al baile social; serán actividades abiertas y gratuitas para todo el mundo; en los próximos días os anunciaremos los lugares definitivos.

Viernes 16

19:00 – 21:00 h. Comenzamos el fin de semana con un paseo por Madrid para mostrar nuestra ciudad y tomar contacto con los hoppers recién llegados. Nos encontraremos  en la estatua de Carlos III en la plaza de la Puerta del Sol (Metro Sol). Actividad para Full Pass y Saturday Pass

22:00 – 23:30 h. Registro de participantes e inscripciones para la J&J en Cha 3 (c/ San Pol de Mar 1. Metro más cercano Príncipe Pío, autobuses 41 y 75).

23:30 – 05:00 h. Fiesta de apertura en Cha 3. A partir de las 0:15 y hasta las 2:30 bailaremos al ritmo de una banda creada especialmente para la ocasión, la Madrid Lindy Exchange Band,  y la jam session a la que están invitados a unirse todos los músicos de Madrid. Después, nuestros DJ recogerán el testigo y seguirán animando la pista con los mejores temas del swing. Solo para participantes con Full Pass

Sábado 17

12:00 –15:00 h. El baile social del sábado comenzará con una clase abierta de jazz steps. Después, tendremos música en directo con la Madrid Hot Jazz Band, que tocará de 13:00 a 14:00 horas. (Baile en la calle; lugar por confirmar).  Actividad abierta

18.00 – 21:00 h. Comienza la fiesta del Círculo de Bellas Artes, en la Sala de Columnas y la Fuentecilla (Calle Alcalá, 42, entrada por la calle Marqués de Casa Riera. Metro: Banco de España, Cercanías: Sol, autobuses 5, 9, 51, 52, 53, 146 y 150). A primera hora, las escuelas de Madrid nos invitan a probar sus tasters. También tendremos un mercadillo de creadores de ropa y complementos para dar a vuestro estilo swing un toque único.  Todas las actividades del Círculo de Bellas Artes se dirigen a participantes con Full Pass o Saturday Pass. 

De ocho a nueve se disputará la ronda clasificatoria de la J&J. Los rezagados y los indecisos no tienen que preocuparse, no hay límite de parejas y las inscripciones (gratuitas) estarán abiertas hasta pocos minutos antes de que de comienzo el baile.

22:45 – 03.00 h. La gran fiesta del IV Madrid Lindy Exchange tendrá su escenario principal en la espectacular Sala de Columnas del Círculo de Bellas Artes, con música en directo de El Molino Big Band (De 23:30 a 01:30) y con la pinchada de vinilos de Cisco Fran y Don Otto para iniciar la fiesta y hasta las tantas de la madrugada. A las 0:30 se celebrará la final de la J&J y los ganadores recibirán fabulosos premios de nuestros colaboradores.

Domingo 18

12.30 h. Clase abierta de Charlestón y música de la Madrid Lindy Exchange Band (Baile en la calle, lugar por confirmar) Actividad abierta

15:00 a 19.00 h. Nuestro fin de fiesta tendrá como escenario uno de los lugares emblemáticos de Madrid: la Casa de Campo, donde celebraremos un picnic con música hasta la tarde. Actividad abierta

Less than one month is left for the IV Madrid Lindy Exchange, the event that will join hundreds of dancers in Madrid from Friday 16th June to Sunday 18th June. And finally comes what many are asking us for: the detailed program of the event ! Here you have the hours, venues and activities in which hoppers from all over Spain and a dozen countries (United States, Australia, United Kingdom, Croatia, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, France …) will participate.

From MAD for Swing we want to involve not only the dancers who have bought the Full Pass or the Party Pass for Saturday (for those we have prepared a lot of activities) but to the whole swing community of Madrid. We have two fantastic venues for our parties, the Círculo de Bellas Artes and Cha3, but as we love to bring our passion for lindy to the people of Madrid, we will dedicate the Saturday morning and the Sunday to the social dance; these  will be open and free activities for everyone. In the coming days we will announce the definitive places.

Friday 16th

19:00 to 21:00. We started the weekend with a tour of Madrid to show our city and make contact with the newly arrived hoppers. We will meet at the Carlos III statue in the Puerta del Sol (closest subway station: Sol). For participants with Full Pass and Saturday Pass

22:00 to 23:30. Registration of participants and registrations for the J&J in Cha 3 (c / San Pol de Mar 1. Nearest subway station: Príncipe Pío, bus 41 and 75).

23:30 – 05:00. Opening party at Cha 3. From 0:15 until 2:30 we will dance to a band created specially for the occasion, the Madrid Lindy Exchange Band, and the jam session. All the musicians of Madrid are invited joining. Afterwards, our DJs will take over and will go on with the best swing themes. Full Pass only

Saturday 17th

12:00 to 15:00 h. Saturday’s social dance will begin with a jazz steps open class. Afterwards, we will enjoy live music with Madrid Hot Jazz Band, from 13:00 to 14:00 hours. Open activity

18:00 to 21:00. The party starts at Círculo de Bellas Artes (Alcalá Street, 42, entrance via Calle Marqués de Casa Riera, subway: Banco de España, Train: Sol, buses 5, 9, 51, 52, 53, 146 and 150). In the first hour, the schools of Madrid invite us to taste their dancing proposal. We will also have a creators market of clothing and accessories to give your lindy style a unique touch. Full Pass and Saturday Pass

From 20:00 to 21:00, it will be disputed the qualifying round of the J&J. The stragglers and the undecisive do not have to worry, there is no limit of couples and the inscriptions (free) will be open until few minutes before the beginning of the contest.

22:45 – 03.00 h. The big party of the IV Madrid Lindy Exchange will have its main stage in the spectacular ‘Sala de Columnas’ of the Círculo de Bellas Artes, with live music from El Molino Big Band (From 23:30 pm to 1:30 am) and with DJ Cisco Fran and Don Otto spinning of vinyl records. At 0:30 the J&J final will be held and the winners will receive fabulous prizes from our collaborators. Full Pass and Saturday Pass

Sunday 18th

12.30 – Sunday’s social dance will begin with a Charleston’s open class. We will enjoy the live music of the Madrid Lindy Exchange Band. (Social Dancing, Location to be confirmed) Open activity

15:00 – 19.00 Our last activity will take place as one of the most emblematic places in Madrid: the Casa de Campo. We will celebrate a picnic and, after that, social dancing. Open activity
